Origins and meanings of Easter

The word Easter, greek and latin "pascha" comes Aramaic: pasha, which corresponds to the Hebrew Passover, whose generic meaning is "passed over". The actual meaning of the word is not entirely certain.
A group of Fathers of the Church of Asian origin (including Tertullian, Hippolytus, Irenaeus) connect the word pascha pàschein the greek word which means to suffer. Although the etymology of the word is incorrect, in that situation are caught the intrinsic meanings of the Passover sacrifice and salvation. For more exact etymology of the word must have recourse to Origen and the Alexandrian, who intend to sense as "passing."
In this case, the change is through the Red Sea from slavery to the Promised Land, then the vice of sin to the freedom of salvation through the cleansing of baptism. Applied to Christ, etymology suggests that the transition from land to His Father.
Easter is, in fact, the most important liturgical feast for Christianity.
Easter represents and celebrates the three fundamental moments of Christianity: the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Christ. It presents itself as the core of liturgical and theological heritage of Christianity.
In addition, that Easter is the link with the Jewish matrix of Christianity and the time same, the moment of liberation from the matrix. The Christian holiday is taken from the celebration of the liberation of the people of Moses from slavery in Egypt, celebrated on the occasion of the first full moon after the

A date that will be remembered with joy.
If you do not know the origins of the holiday party, read on

The Feast of the Father, as we know it today began in the early decades of the twentieth century to complement Mother's Day to celebrate fathers and fatherhood in general. The feast is celebrated on various dates throughout the world, it is often accompanied by delivery of a gift to his father. The time generally varies from country to country. In countries that follow the tradition U.S., the festival is held the third Sunday of June . In many countries Catholic tradition, the celebration of Father's Day is celebrated on Saint Joseph , father of Jesus (from Wikipedia)

The Father's Day occurs on March 19 to coincide with the Feast of St. Joseph, who in the popular tradition as well as protecting the poor, orphans and girls single women, by virtue of his profession, is also the patron of carpenters, who have always been the main promoters of his party. It seems that the custom will be received by the United States and was celebrated for the first time around the early 1900s, when a young woman decided to dedicate a special day to her father. To early Father's Day occurs in June, at Mr. Smart's birthday which was dedicated, then only when he arrived in Italy it was decided that it would be best to celebrate the Feast of St. Joseph. In the beginning was born as a national holiday, but has since been repealed but continues to be an opportunity for families and especially children, to celebrate their beloved fathers. The party of 19 March is also characterized by two typical events, leaving them a bit 'in all regions of Italy: the fires and zeppole.

As the celebration of St. Joseph is the end of winter, it was on top of the rites of purification Agricultural played in the pagan past. On this occasion, in fact, you burn crop residues on fields, and huge bonfires are lit on the edge of the bed. When the fire is going to go out, stepped over him with some big jumps, and the old ladies, while they spin, they sing hymns to St. Joseph. These rites are accompanied by the preparation of donuts, the famous pancakes, which, although varying the recipe from region to region, the typical dish of this holiday. THE LOST BOY by William Blake
Daddy, Daddy, where are you going?
Oh, do not walk so fast.
Speak father, speak to your child,
Or I'll lose.
The night was dark, no father was there;
The child was wet with dew;
the mud was deep,
and the baby cried,
fleeting and the mist disappeared.

is by far
and seems very tired.
Instead of the sword
is the umbrella
and there is a coat
instead of the mantle;
but to look good
the horse does not have it,
I'm running the meeting
and say "Hello Dad!"
